The Radeon RX 6800 XT ended up crossing swords with the GeForce RTX 3080, which was the posterboy of NVIDIA's Ampere architecture, while the RX 6800 non-XT came in significantly faster than the RTX 3070 at only a slight price premium. AMD's newest Radeon RX 6000 graphics card series, which is based on the 7 nanometer RDNA2 graphics architecture, propelled the company back into the high-end market segment for the first time in eight years. The RTX 3070 Ti possibly came into existence only because of the RX 6800. A more realistic price for these cards in these times is $1200 for the RTX 3070 Ti and $1500 for the RX 6800.
